Join the Old Irving Park Association

By joining OIPA, you can make a difference. Some of OIPA's accomplishments include:
  • Blocked the construction of an asphalt plant adjacent to residential homes
  • Worked with the city and neighbors to downzone many areas, so that fewer out of scale buildings would be constructed
  • Campaigned against replacing single homes with two or more on one lot, thereby preserving greenspace and street parking
  • Hosted candidate forums for the community with elected officials and those seeking public office
  • Helped create neighborhood playlots and streetscaping
As a member, you'll be able to:
  • Attend monthly evening meetings with your neighbors, September through June
  • Hear guest speakers who are important to our community. Recent guests include:
The Commander of the local police district
Developers seeking approval of new building plans
Local aldermen presenting "State of the Ward" updates
    Property Tax Appeal experts
    Local business owners
  • Receive our monthly Newsletter - 50+ pages of neighborhood news, OIPA meeting and committee reports, crime statistics, real estate sales (with prices) and more.
  • Attend events such as the annual Ice Cream Social and Holiday Pot Luck Dinner
  • Join committees to help improve the community of Old Irving Park
